Why Not?

Dress Vintage: Available Here, body-con skirt F21/ similar, Vintage Polka dot belt/similar, White Caged sandals/ similar

Hello,

I hope everyone is enjoying their summer. We have been having some nice hot summer days here in Chicago. All my cousins want to talk about is going to the lake, but since we are all very busy we haven't had a chance to plan.

Upon entering my summer break, I can't help but set up goals for myself. Goals that I hope to accomplish before the fall. Its in my nature to plan 24/7. I always like to have everything planned out, even if I'm not successful in accomplishing such plans. Am I the only one?

What are some of your plans for your summer/summer break?

Not So Matched

Outfit details: Thrifted old navy blouse and and sleeveless dress, heels are from ebay.

I love that I had perfectly matching heels for this outfit, but I instead wore something completely different. Sometimes is fun not to match. It makes you stand out and unique! Don't be afraid  not to match one day. Try it! If you are not sure how you can do it, do a little research online. Visit pinterest and get inspired.

Xoxo

Movement

Top vintage thrifted, skirt F21, Heels Amazon,

With summer around the corner, I decided to take a risk and get a pair of white heels. Why a risk? Because white shoes don't stay white for too long. Eventually after a few wears they get dirty. They are not my first pair of white shoes, but these by far are my favorite!

Enjoy your weekend!

Fall Pinspiration

One of the best parts about living in Chicago is that you get to experience all four seasons. Fall, being one of my favorites! Nothing inspires me to be creative with my style more than Autumn.

I have been meaning to share this post with you for the past two weeks, but because of time I haven't gotten around to it. So here it is! Here are some of the style pics from my Pinterest boards that have inspired me this Fall...

Pastels!!! When you think of Fall these are not the first colors that pop in your head. I might be breaking the rules of fashion. Honestly, I don't know many so technically I'm not breaking any?

Playing with textures! There is no way I could be wearing a feathered skirt or tulle in the middle of summer. In winter I may freeze, but in the Fall just add some spunky tights and you are ready to go. Not to mention that you can add even more textures with studded or glitter tights. This outfit alone is mixing knit, feathers, and velvet.

Pops of neon are great with dark colors. I love how you can still use your neon summer blouses under soft sweaters or dresses. It could also be a neon pair of tights.

Sweaters and full skirts. This may not look good on me because of how chubby I've gotten. Truly I can care less. I have already tried it and I loved it! I look forward to pairing both more often this fall.

Layers, layers, layers! nough said...

What are some looks you are inspired by for the Fall?

Black and White

I'm normally not into trends. Well if I see something at the store and I like it I'll buy it. Don't get me wrong, I love fashion, but I always try to shoot for more weird and random outfits. Plus I'm always thrift shopping for vintage. I don't buy into a lot of trends.
This weekend I succumbed to the black and white trend for this Spring. My skirt was originally a vintage dress I thrifted about a month ago. It was too big so I made it into a skirt. I just couldn't get rid of it. So I had to make it work for me.

Thrifted Vintage: blouse, belt, DIY skirt, 1950's purse. Shoes are from forever21.

Pinspiration: Texture!!!!!

Looking through all the neat style photos on pinterest, get me so inspired. I try to be as original as possible with my style, but there is nothing wrong with being influenced by other fashionistas!

Lately, I have been loving all the style post that involve mixing texture. Such as: a simple tee with a leather skirt, a pretty blouse with lace skirt, a soft sweater with a tulle skirt, or leather jacket and tulle skirt. These are some looks that I'd like to recreate with what I have in my closet...

Today is Going to be a Good Good Day!

Hello there,

Earlier today I decided that it was going to be good good day. I hardly ever do that. You know talking positively and all that good mantra. Anyway...So on my way back home from work I had a car accident. Yes my FIRST ever!!! I won't go into details, but I'm so glad nobody got hurt. Except of course my poor Beany (yes I named my car, its silly I know). It was more like a fender bender. Both cars were not greatly damaged, but I sure did get scared.

So much for declaring good things into my life. Honestly, I think that it was a good day, because things could have been worst.

What are you grateful for today?

Pinspiration!!!

There is no doubt that ever since I joined Pinterest my style has been slightly modified. I just love looking through photos of other girl's neat style. Slowly I have developed ideas of my own and borrowed some. Lets be honest at the end of the night originality rarely exist. But we make our outfits original with our very own personality, attitude, and of course those last personal touches.

Here are some of my favorite recent pins:

Vintage thrifted collar blouse
Thrifted White house black market skirt
Thrifted vintage tutu
Snake print wedges from TJMax

So I can't stop wearing my white house black market skirt. It's super tight but I always try to hide that with either a long blazer or in this case a see through skirt over it. I'm not very happy with the way this outfit turned out. I think a different pair of shoes would have helped. But have I mentioned how much I like my studded skirt?
HAPPY MONDAY!!
